In a shocking turn of events, I can prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that the BBC has lied.
Discovery is scheduled next year to become the first space shuttle to take to the skies since a fire on the Columbia shuttle killed seven astronauts in early 2003.
Hmm. This could be true, if you take the phrase “a fire on the Columbia” to be equivalent to “the Columbia exploded, decompressing the cabin and exposing any who survived the initial blast to windspeeds of tens of thousands of miles an hour”.
Muppetry.
say, i don’t know if you Irish fellers pronounce “schedule” the way Mr. Sark on ALIAS does (“shhhe-dule”), but i guess i automatically assumed that, because that’s how i read the word just now. and i’m pretty sure it’s just because you’re Irish that i read it that way.
No, there’s definately a ‘c’ in the word schedule. None of this fancy ALIAS pronounciation, I’m afraid.
good to know. my mistake.
